Gulf Coast ports and their connected transportation networks face significant risk from extreme weather. This project examines how port facilities and related infrastructure hold up under coastal hazards, estimates the direct and indirect economic costs of major weather events, and develops mitigation strategies that decision-makers can use to reduce downtime and improve recovery. The findings are intended to be directly applicable by local and state agencies and transferable to other coastal regions.
